# Users

Learn how to register, verify, manage, and provision users in FusionAuth.

Every user account moves through the same stages:

*   Users join through [registration](https://fusionauth.io/docs/users/register.md), or arrive from another system through [provisioning](https://fusionauth.io/docs/users/provision/scim.md) or a [migration](https://fusionauth.io/docs/migrate.md).
*   You [verify](https://fusionauth.io/docs/users/verify/gate-accounts-until-user-email-verified.md) email addresses and phone numbers.
*   Users update profile data through [self-service account management](https://fusionauth.io/docs/users/account-management.md). Your team manages users in the Admin UI, with [search](https://fusionauth.io/docs/users/search.md) and [user actions](https://fusionauth.io/docs/users/user-actions.md).
*   When a user leaves, you [deactivate or delete](https://fusionauth.io/docs/apis/users/delete.md) the account.
