Events Manager (Full or Part Time)

The Events Manager will manage our live and virtual event programs in support of our marketing growth plans.

You will report directly to the VP of Marketing and will work with sales, product and developer relations teams. As a member of the Marketing team you’ll be responsible for helping us spread the word about FusionAuth to developers worldwide. That includes live events, large and small, primarily in the US, and more frequent virtual events for a worldwide audience. This is a hands-on role covering everything from planning to execution of onsite presence, and being responsible for overall event success. You’ll work primarily remote, but will often need to meet with team members and work with show materials in our Broomfield office. It is open as a part-time position as an option for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identify, plan, negotiate, and organize trade show participation at events focusing on our target software developer audience. 
• Handle all logistics related to the events
• Coordinate team member participation, speaking engagements and other onsite activities. You’ll only need to personally travel to events 1-2 times per year. 
• Organize and coordinate frequent virtual events, working with the Marketing team to promote and execute webinars, demos and training sessions. 
• Manage vendors and sourcing of all event related materials.

Requirements

The requirements for this position include:

• Significant event planning and management experience for technical B2B companies. 
• Enthusiasm and vision for successful event and promotion activities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for both internal and external colleagues and vendors. 
• Ability to multi-task, act with urgency, and handle the peak flurry of activity that comes prior to an event. 
• Ability to rapidly learn and understand market and product positioning for a technical, developer focused product. 
• Must live in Denver/Boulder, primarily working from home with approximately 20% of time “in the office”. 

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range: $60,000-$85,000 (full time)
