The basic cloud plan says that total data loss can occur if the server crashes. Can you explain? It can't be just a simple server crash. You have persistent storage yes?

In FusionAuth Basic Cloud, the database is installed on the same host using a persistent volume.

While data loss would be rare, we clearly state the possibility because this deployment model is not intended for production.

The Business and High Availability editions offer a managed database which includes additional redundancies, automated backups and higher performance characteristics that make it much better suited for production usage.

In the event of a catastrophic failure or natural disaster, we do not guarantee any service level or recovery point for the Basic Cloud edition.

Data recovery will not be a problem if you regularly make manual backups or configure automatic backups. You can simply backup the system to its state before the critical error.

@garveymozga33 Thanks for your feedback. The basic cloud plan does not currently include backups and is not intended for production use.
