New user login fails

Hi All,
I'm am a new user of FusionAuth, and I want to test it as our new AAA service.
I've created a new user on my local FusionAuth installation, but when I try to login with the new user, I get an "Invalid login credentials" error message.
Am I missing something here? -
Did you register the new user with the application?
